LAHORE : The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed 200 properties as part of an ongoing crackdown targeting illegal commercial activities and defaulters of commercial fees.
The action, directed by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, was executed across various parts of the city, including Gulberg, Faisal Town, New Muslim Town, WAPDA Town, China Scheme Gujjarpura, Sabzazar, College Road, and Township.
Specific figures highlight the scope of the operation: 36 properties were sealed in Gulberg and Faisal Town, 17 in New Muslim Town, 27 in WAPDA Town, 25 in Sabzazar, and 80 on College Road in Township. Additionally, 13 wedding halls and marquees in the China Scheme Gujjarpura area were sealed due to unpaid commercial fees.
Prior to this action, multiple notices had been issued to the violators. The operation was overseen by Chief Town Planners I Asad Uz Zaman and II Azhar Ali, ensuring compliance with the authority’s regulations.
