Islamabad (Hayat News) – Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has pledged to continue protesting until her husband’s release from jail. Emphasizing that the struggle is not just personal, she stated, “This fight is for the nation and its leader, not just for my husband.”
PTI supporters, heeding Khan’s call, are converging on D-Chowk in Islamabad to demand the former premier’s release, among other political objectives. The movement has gained momentum despite challenges, with protesters determined to stay until their demands are met.
Bushra Bibi herself has joined the protests, rallying party workers and lifting their spirits. Addressing supporters near the Hazara Interchange, she declared, “This march will not end until Khan is back with us. I will stand firm until my last breath, with or without anyone’s support. This is a cause for the country and its leadership.”
She expressed confidence in the unwavering resolve of the Pashtun people, describing them as a proud nation that remains steadfast in their commitments.
In a brief but impassioned speech from atop a container, Bushra Bibi energized the crowd with slogans before stepping out to acknowledge workers’ chants, waving in response to their support.
Meanwhile, PTI convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab are making their way to the capital, despite government-placed shipping containers blocking key routes into Islamabad. The march, initially planned for Sunday (November 24), has faced delays due to these obstructions, but participants remain resolute in their pursuit of justice.
