MIRPUR (AJK) – In a significant step to support healthcare access for underserved communities, UK-based NGO Muslim Hands has launched a Life-Saving Drugs Pharmacy and Dog Bite Vaccination Center in Sehensa, a remote town in the Kotli district of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK), according to the organization.
The center aims to provide essential medications and vaccinations free of charge to those in need, regardless of their financial status, ensuring swift access to medical care and recovery, explained Qamar Atta Raja, Head of the Media Wing at Muslim Hands’ Mirpur AJK office, during a statement on Sunday.
Atta emphasized Muslim Hands’ commitment to offering quality healthcare to everyone, aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3: Ensure Healthy Lives and SDG 10: Reduce Inequalities). He also extended an invitation to philanthropists and individuals interested in aiding humanitarian efforts to contribute to Muslim Hands’ mission to make life-saving medicines available to all.
“Every contribution brings us closer to a world where essential healthcare is accessible to everyone,” Atta remarked.
